Protecting consumers is the shortest way for businesses to build sustainable brands and conquer future markets.

That was the speech of Mr. Trinh Anh Tuan - Chairman of the National Competition Commission (Ministry of Industry and Trade) at the Consumer Fest 2025 Appreciation Day organized by the National Competition Commission (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in coordination with the Voice of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper (VOV) on the evening of October 24.

Mr. Trinh Anh Tuan said that in the context of the country entering a new stage of development, deep integration and innovation, consumers are not only the destination but also the core driving force to promote sustainable development of the economy.

According to Mr. Trinh Anh Tuan, it is the smart choice, the demand for quality and transparency of the people that has created positive pressure, forcing the market to mobilize, upgrade and become healthier. The power of millions of daily consumption decisions is truly an invaluable asset of the State. To support this important driving force, the work of protecting consumer rights always receives special and deep attention from the highest leaders of the Party and the Government.

On this occasion, I call for cooperation and action from both sides. For the business community, continue to put the words "Trust" and "Heart" first. Moreover, let's pioneer in applying green technology, reducing waste and providing environmentally friendly products. Protecting consumers is the shortest way to build a sustainable brand and conquer the future market.

For consumers, protecting their rights is a shared responsibility and first of all, it is your own responsibility. Be smart consumers, proactively seek information, and proactively speak out when your rights are violated. In particular, be a responsible consumer to society, prioritizing the choice of sustainable, environmentally friendly products to join hands to create a green, healthy and civilized consumer society" - Mr. Trinh Anh Tuan emphasized.

At the event, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh - Director of External Affairs and Investment, Central Retail Vietnam Group said that in the current context, when management agencies and society are increasingly interested in the issues of corporate social responsibility, food safety, traceability and domestic consumption development, Central Retail Vietnam always identifies this as the focus of its sustainable development strategy.

The "Consumer fest - Consumer Appreciation Day" program with nearly 50 booths, gathering more than 30 domestic and foreign enterprises and units.
