On May 30, Da Nang City People's Committee said that Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung has signed and issued Decision No. 2400/QD-UBND on terminating operations and dissolving the Da Nang City Traffic Safety Board.

According to the decision, the Da Nang City Traffic Safety Board is dissolved after completing the transfer of functions, tasks, personnel, finances, assets, dossiers, documents and related contents to departments, agencies and localities according to the attached plan.
The City People's Committee assigns the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards to decide and organize the dissolution of the Traffic Safety Board in the locality in accordance with the law on the organization and operation of inter-sectoral coordination organizations.
The arrangement and coordination of handling issues of traffic order and safety in the locality is carried out according to the authority and regulations of law.
The decision takes effect from June 1, 2026, from this time, Decision No. 1473/QD-UBND dated September 13, 2025 on the establishment of the City Traffic Safety Board and Decision No. 1915/QD-UBND dated October 9, 2025 on personnel consolidation of the City Traffic Safety Board expire.
According to the dissolution plan, departments, boards, and branches within the scope of their functions, tasks, and powers are responsible for receiving and organizing the implementation of related tasks previously undertaken by the City Traffic Safety Board, ensuring that traffic order and safety assurance work in the area is not interrupted.
In which, the City Police perform the task of monitoring and summarizing the situation; coordinating with departments, agencies, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards in ensuring traffic order and safety; summarizing data and reporting periodically or unexpectedly at the request of the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
At the same time, receive dossiers, documents and related tasks of the City Traffic Safety Committee according to assigned functions and tasks.
The Department of Construction receives 2 civil servants from the Office of the City Traffic Safety Committee, including 1 Chief of Office and 1 specialist to be assigned to professional departments under the department; continue to perform the task of advising on ensuring traffic order and safety under the management of the construction industry.
Funds for ensuring traffic order and safety in the city are allocated in the annual budget estimate assigned to the Department of Construction for management and use according to regulations.
The City People's Committee requests the City Traffic Safety Board, departments, branches, agencies, related units and People's Committees of communes and wards to complete the transfer of tasks, personnel, dossiers, documents and related contents within 30 days from the date the decision takes effect; ensuring no interruption of traffic order and safety assurance work throughout the city.
