On December 9, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Provincial Police organized a ceremony to award 6 individuals with achievements in ensuring security and order.
Previously, on the night of November 12, while performing patrol and security duties in Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc City, the local police force discovered 4 subjects with criminal records for drugs gathering at an abandoned house in Group 10, Quarter 4, Duong Dong Ward.
The subjects showed many suspicious signs, so the authorities decided to report and coordinate with Duong Dong Ward Police to monitor and track them. At 0:30 on November 13, when discovering that this group of subjects were illegally using drugs, the security forces quickly deployed a plan to catch them red-handed. All subjects and related evidence were arrested and brought to the police station for handling according to the law.
Colonel Nguyen Van Han - Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police - praised the sense of responsibility and determination to fight of individuals in the grassroots security force. The Director of the Provincial Police also emphasized: "This is an important achievement in the work of ensuring security and order, contributing to the prevention and suppression of criminal acts, especially drug-related crimes. The brave actions of the comrades not only demonstrate their intelligence and acumen in professional work but also contribute to protecting peace for the community and building a safe living environment for the people".
