On August 28, information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thong Thu commune said that in Muong Phu, Muong Piet, and Muong Hinh villages, landslides occurred on the positive slopes behind many houses, causing rocks and soil to flow down to the lower floors, affecting people's daily life. Some inner-city roads were cut off, including the inter-village road of Na hum village, which was completely isolated by landslides.

On National Highway 48, the Pu Cao Ma slope continues to experience landslides, endangering traffic. Dozens of rice fields were flooded and silted up, while many areas of people's acacia and cinnamon were also eroded by the water.
Currently, the authorities of Thong Thu commune are mobilizing local forces to initially overcome the situation, support affected households, and coordinate with competent authorities to inspect and handle landslides on national highways and inter-village roads to soon restore traffic and stabilize people's lives.
