Late on November 19, the Command Committee of Lam Dong 1 Defense Area said that prolonged heavy rain caused landslides, damaging at least 8 houses in Loc Quy Xuan Tho village (Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat). Soil and rocks flooded into the house, burying many household items, but fortunately there were no casualties.
Notably, on the same evening, in Tay Ho 2 area (Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat), a landslide occurred on the slope, collapsing into the house of a household, leaving an 8-year-old girl T.T.D trapped in the bathroom. The authorities quickly arrived to organize the rescue.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directly went to the scene to direct the rescue work. After many efforts, the forces took the girl out of the pile of rocks and soil and transferred her to Lam Dong General Hospital for emergency care.
According to the hospital, the child suffered only soft tissue injuries, not endangering his life and is being cared for by doctors.
Damage to people's houses and property is currently being counted. The Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward government has mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers of the Military Command and the ward police to coordinate with other forces to support people to overcome the consequences, and at the same time relocate assets of households at risk of landslides.
