In response to the developments of storm Tra Mi, following the direction of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, from early morning on October 26, youth volunteer teams in 7 districts and towns mobilized to support people in evacuating, arranging furniture, and clearing sewers.
Accordingly, the district youth union members, together with the militia and border guards in the area, supported bringing the boats ashore, cleaned up, arranged concentrated storm shelters, and cleared the flow before the storm.
Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting at 7:00 p.m., the center of the storm is located at about 17 degrees north latitude; 110.7 degrees east longitude, about 286km east-northeast of Da Nang.
The strongest wind is level 11 (103-117km/h), gusting to level 14. It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, the storm will move west at a speed of about 20-25km/h.
Da Nang city is currently having light to moderate rain, tonight and tomorrow morning the rain will increase to heavy to very heavy and the wind will gradually get stronger, coastal areas will have strong gusts.
