In Da Nang City, former union officials visited the accommodation, living and training areas of officers and soldiers on combat ship units; learned about the process of building, fighting and growing up of the Vietnam People's Navy; experienced meals with officers and soldiers of Brigades 161 and 172, Naval Region 3; organized cultural and artistic exchanges, and shared experiences in union activities during the period of national liberation struggle as well as the period of economic and social development and protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Liaison Committee of former union cadres launched a literary and artistic composition contest on the theme “For beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa”; presented 20 gifts to children of Navy Region 3 soldiers who suffered from serious illnesses, were undergoing long-term treatment, and were in especially difficult circumstances.
This is a series of activities within the Journey "Da Nang of Love - Aspiration to Reach Far" with the aim of propagating to former cadres of the Southern Vietnam Youth Union about the tradition of building, fighting, winning and growing up of the Navy, Naval Region 3.
At the same time, it is an opportunity to exchange experiences and skills in union activities and to fuel the tradition for cadres and youth union members of Naval Region 3 to strive to successfully complete all assigned tasks; practically aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
