On the morning of February 3, the Command of Naval Region 3 (Da Nang City) together with agencies and units in the entire Region organized the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho". This is an annual activity of the unit at the beginning of the new year, responding to the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's launch of the "Tree Planting Festival" (1959 - 2025) and the program of planting one billion trees "For a green Vietnam" launched by the Prime Minister.

At the launching ceremony, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Political Commissar of Naval Region 3, said: "The Tree Planting Festival, forever grateful to Uncle Ho" will contribute to educating and raising awareness among officers and soldiers about the role and benefits of planting trees and creating shade. Through that, tree planting will contribute to mitigating natural disasters, improving the environmental landscape, building the barracks campus to be more and more standardized, green - clean - beautiful. At the same time, it creates an atmosphere and spirit of enthusiastic work in the unit right from the first days of the year".
Immediately after the launching ceremony, officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3 Command and units throughout the Region planted 137 new fruit trees, 1,478 shade and timber trees, 260 ornamental trees, 399 flower beds, 1,200 square meters of lawns and took care of the existing tree, flower bed and lawn systems.
