The final night of the contest "Hanoi's Voice 2024" found the two best contestants to award the Champion of the light music category to Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh and the Champion of the chamber music category to Bui Huyen Trang.
The contest is organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with relevant units to arouse and nurture love for the homeland, country, love for Hanoi, deepen national pride; at the same time, contribute to promoting cultural and artistic activities, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people of the capital.
Accordingly, contestant Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh attracted attention with her sublime performance of the song "Canh hoa tan" by Cao Trung Hieu, expressing both emotion and vocal technique. This performance helped the female contestant conquer the judges and the audience to win the highest position in the competition.
It is known that the journey of pursuing the passion for music of Champion Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh (born in 1996, stage name Linh Lana) has many special stories. Linh Lana was the second runner-up in Vocal Music at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. She comes from a family with an artistic tradition in Ninh Binh.
Linh Lana has been involved with music since she was very young. The female singer said that her passion for music was “kindled” by lullabies and “songs that go with the years” from her grandfather. With her passion for music and art always “incubated”, she actively participated in singing and dancing competitions.
Later, to pursue an artistic career, Linh Lana majored in Vocal Music at the Vietnam National Academy of Music and graduated with excellent grades.
Sharing about the motivation that made her participate in the contest "Hanoi Voice 2024", Linh Lana said: "I want to try my hand at a professional contest, experience new things and challenge myself with new challenges.
Besides, I also received a lot of advice, encouragement and motivation from people and seniors that I should compete to bring my singing closer to the public audience."
After winning the light music category of the contest "Hanoi's Voice 2024", Linh Lana said she was very emotional, surprised and proud.
