At major routes in districts across the city of Da Nang, the greenery team of Da Nang Park - Greenery Company is commencing a campaign to prune greenery.
Earlier, the city's People's Committee had approved for relevant units to implement pruning in advance at regional routes with sparse population in the event that the weather at the time of implementation remains hot.
When the weather turns cool to the rainy season, focus on pruning greenery at central routes, densely populated areas.
Among them, prioritize pruning for routes with heavy traffic participation, school areas; critical routes, areas prone to strong winds, coastal areas, routes with greenery affected by infrastructure instability.
Species prone to breaking and falling such as purple bougainvillea, blue morning glory, yellow cassia, cedar, Ta banyan, Taiwan banyan… and trees showing signs of safety hazards will implement strong pruning.
The pruning unit will focus on implementing anti-greenery support, reinforcing wooden support posts and regularly inspecting, reinforcing, and adjusting steel support posts on Nguyen Van Linh, Le Dinh Duong, Yen Bai, and Tieu La streets…
The pruning work focuses on species with dense canopies, uneven canopies, species prone to breaking and falling, and branches with diseases, dry branches; pruning excess branches, dense branches, ensuring ventilation, and thinning canopies to reduce wind resistance when the rainy season typhoon arrives.
Currently, Da Nang Park - Greenery Company has mobilized over 58 cranes, trucks, and approximately 140 workers to focus on pruning branches and twigs.
