On the other side, the Indonesian team just had a hard-fought victory over the Myanmar team. Coach Shin Tae-yong's players struggled to score, before Asnawi brought home the only goal, somewhat fortunately.
The team from the archipelago will face Laos tomorrow (September 12) before competing with Vietnam. Therefore, the players' physical strength will be affected to some extent.
Compared to the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, the Indonesian team has changed when the majority of the force is the U22 youth team and there are no naturalized players. Therefore, they are predicted to face difficulties in the journey to conquer the Southeast Asian gold cup.
