According to the organization plan issued by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the 2025 National Volleyball Championship will continue to take place in 2 phases.
Phase 1 was held at Dong Anh District Gymnasium, Hanoi from March 22-31 and phase 2 took place at Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium from October 10-19.
The detailed schedule of each round will be arranged and announced by the organizers in the near future.
One change in this year’s tournament is that the men’s and women’s events will be played at the same time and at the same two locations, instead of in four different locations compared to previous seasons. Therefore, the technical and logistical preparation will be huge as the number of matches has almost doubled.
The format of the 2025 national championship remains the same, with teams competing in a single round robin to score points. Accordingly, the top 4 teams will qualify for the semi-finals and finals, and the bottom 4 teams will compete in the relegation round.
In this year's tournament, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation allows each team to use 1 foreign player in the match.
Regarding the list, the 8 women's teams participating in the 2025 National Volleyball Championship are VTV Binh Dien Long An, Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals, LPB Ninh Binh, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement, Geleximco Thai Binh, Vietinbank, Information Corps, Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, the 8 men's teams participating in the competition are Border Guard, Sanest Khanh Hoa, The Cong Tan Cang, LPB Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Lavie Long An and Ho Chi Minh City Police.
