On November 29, in Luong The Tran commune (Ca Mau province), the local government and sponsors officially started construction of Rach Cai Nhum Bridge - Bridge of Love No. 114 (also known as Dong Huong Bridge 192).
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province Le Thanh Trieu emphasized: This is a meaningful bridge, connecting the two banks for people and students to travel conveniently. In the near future, Ca Mau province will build a road from the National Highway connecting to Luong The Tran Relic Site, not leaving the scene of a bridge without a road.
Mr. Le Thanh Trieu, thanked the companionship and wished to continue to receive support for infrastructure from Tien Phong Nam and sponsors for remote areas of the Ca Mau river.
To ensure the project is implemented quickly and quality, Mr. Le Thanh Trieu requested local Party committees and authorities to strengthen supervision and study to soon propose the province to support the expansion of the road to the area of the Heroic Temple of the Armed Forces of Luong The Tran.
Rach Cai Nhum Bridge is located on a vital traffic route for more than 200 households and is the road leading to the Heroic Temple of the Armed Forces of Luong The Tran. This is also a daily walk of the street for hundreds of children of Cai Nhum Primary School and Luong The Tran 2 Primary School.
For many years, people have had to bet on safety on the old, dilapidated iron bridge, rusty railings and strong shaking when vehicles pass by. Every time it rains, the bridge surface is slippery, forcing them to walk or take a double-track around to ensure the safety of their children.
The above unsafe reality and to contribute to the locality's expansion of rural transportation in accordance with the plan, the "Love and Trade Bridge" Program has sponsored the implementation of the new Rach Cai Nhum bridge project, helping to solve the problem of transportation and transportation of agricultural products and traffic safety for local people.
The new Rach Cai Nhum Bridge has a total cost of about 760 million VND, chaired by Tien Phong Nam, and accompanying bids to sponsor 600 million VND to build the bridge. The counterpart of 160 million VND comes from the local budget, the family of Mr. Luong The Tran and the Bac Lieu - Ca Mau Commune Relationship Board.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Luong The Tran Commune People's Committee Le Quoc Duy said that the new Rach Cai Nhum bridge project was permanently designed with reinforced concrete, 35m long, 3.5m wide and 5 tons in weight, in line with the commune's orientation of expanding the road surface. The project is also a long-standing wish of the people, not only eliminating the fear of accidents but also opening up opportunities for socio-economic development for the locality.
Representative of the sponsor, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tam (Tien Phong Nam) shared: "Each bridge that we bring is a loving connection, carrying hope for safety and development".
On this occasion, the program also awarded 20 scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties, giving them more motivation to go to school.
