On the afternoon of July 20, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Hanoi City decided to provide emergency support to families with relatives who died and were injured in the incident.
The total initial support amount is 88 million VND, taken from the City Relief Fund.
According to initial updated information from communes and wards in the city, 17 citizens of Hanoi have been confirmed dead and 1 person injured in this serious accident.
Immediately after receiving the report from the grassroots, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city coordinated with localities, especially the communes of Thuong Tin, Hong Van, Dai Thanh, An Khanh and Hoang Liet ward - where citizens were in distress - to quickly deploy support and visits.
The specific support level is 5 million VND for each death case, 3 million VND for the injured.
For children who are orphans, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city is developing a plan to care for and support them. In localities, coordination work is being accelerated.
The list of victims continues to be reviewed from many sources to ensure that they are not missed, at the same time, the city organizes delegations to visit and express condolences to their families.
Communes and wards also continue to update developments while the verification process is still taking place.
