On September 25, in Can Tho City, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a training conference on digital transformation in building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction.
The conference was attended by Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City and 145 delegates who are Front officials, officials in charge of New Rural Development (NTM) poverty reduction, digital transformation and communication on social networks of 8 provinces and cities in the Southern region.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Ha Thi Nga emphasized: In recent years, the two National Target Programs on New Rural Development and Sustainable Poverty Reduction have always been of interest to the Party, the State and the entire political system. This is both a strategic task and a comprehensive solution to ensure social security, improve people's lives and promote sustainable development of the country.
By June 2025, the whole country had 6,058/7,696 communes (78.7%) meeting the NTM standard, of which 2,446 communes (40.4%) met the advanced NTM standard; 655 communes (10.8%) met the model NTM standard. 318/645 district-level units (49.3%) of 60 provinces and cities have been recognized as having completed their tasks and meeting NTM standards.
The leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front suggested that at this training conference, delegates should focus on understanding the implementation content. These are high-level interactions between delegates and experts and reporters who are leaders of specialized units of the Ministry and functional sectors; at the same time, there is the participation of outstanding, experienced and influential individuals on social networks in conveying messages, promoting and introducing agricultural products.

The conference took place over 2 days, September 25-26, and is expected to contribute to improving the digital transformation capacity of Front cadres, creating new momentum in building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction in the period of 2026 - 2035.
