On October 16, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) chaired a meeting of the third quarter press work conference with press agencies under the Standing Committee of the VFF Central Committee.
Mr. Vu Van Tien - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - co-chaired the Conference.
The conference was attended by leaders of press agencies under the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: Dai Doan Dai Newspaper, Cuu Viet Nam Newspaper, Lao Dong Newspaper, Nong Thon Ngay Newspaper, Vietnam Women's Newspaper, Tien Phong Newspaper, Thanh Nien and Tien Tien Tien and Nhien Newspaper.
Reporting on the results of the work in the first 8 months of the year and the direction and tasks for the last months of 2025 for press agencies under the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Vu Van Tien - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - said that in the past time, press agencies have seriously implemented the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus according to the general orientation of the Party and specific decisions of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Executive Committee and the governing body. This process includes the consolidation, disolution, restructuring of departments/offices/units, streamlining the payroll and rearranging personnel to ensure effective and efficient operations.
In the first 8 months of 2025, the content and propaganda work of press agencies has shown proactiveness, innovation and efficiency. The newspapers have not only completed their political tasks well, but also flexibly transformed to adapt to modern media trends, especially in taking advantage of digital platforms to widely reach readers and spread messages, contributing significantly to strengthening the great national unity bloc and promoting the development of the country. Press agencies have thoroughly grasped the principles and purposes of activities and closely followed the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, as well as the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations.
Most press agencies have completed well or basically on schedule the key tasks set out, especially in political work and improving the quality of content, despite many challenges, Mr. Vu Van Tien emphasized.
At the conference, delegates discussed and contributed opinions on the results achieved, the shortcomings and limitations and proposed solutions for information and propaganda work in the coming time.
Concluding the Conference, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - acknowledged and commended the positive contributions of press agencies and the team of journalists in the past time; at the same time, emphasized that press agencies have made efforts to fulfill their tasks well, worthy of being the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, contributing significantly to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
To strengthen leadership, direction, unity and improve the effectiveness of propaganda work in the last months of 2025 and in the coming time, Vice President Ha Thi Nga suggested that press agencies continue to properly implement the principles and purposes, comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws on journalism, maintain the pioneering role and promote the tradition of the Vietnamese revolutionary press.
In particular, it is necessary to actively widely propagate the collection of public opinions on draft documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party as well as draft documents submitted to the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels; promptly and vividly reflect the spirit of innovation and outstanding results of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations during the congress.

At the same time, press agencies will spend time researching, actively participating and contributing opinions on the Draft Press Law (amended) - expected to keep 9 articles, amend 38 articles, abolish 3 articles and remove 6 articles. These are contents of special significance, directly affecting the operations of press agencies in the coming time.
Each press agency needs to focus on propagating, introducing, learning and disseminating important contents in the speech of General Secretary To Lam at the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations, emphasizing 3 guiding viewpoints and 6 key tasks that need to be implemented in the coming time - Vice President Ha Thi Nga suggested.
Vice President Ha Thi Nga assigned the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to be the focal point for developing the Regulations on coordination between press agencies in the bloc, ensuring clear assignment, improving the quality of coordination, promoting the unique strengths of each press agency, thereby affirming its role as the voice of the great national unity bloc.
Press agencies continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, build a democratic and humane working environment, create high consensus; at the same time, pay attention to taking care of the material and spiritual life of cadres, reporters, and workers at press agencies - Vice President Ha Thi Nga suggested.
