The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Hoa Tien commune has just coordinated with organizations to present 100 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) to support households in difficult circumstances and those affected by the recent floods.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Tien commune received and presented 430 support tools donated by the Da Nang Red Cross Society, including: 180 essential household items, 100 kitchen items and 150 personal hygiene items.
Immediately after the water receded, officials of the Social Policy Bank of Da Nang City were present in the affected areas in a timely manner, grasping the situation, visiting and supporting people to access capital for reconstruction after natural disasters.
Mr. Tran Lien's family (Tra Dong village, Nam Phuoc commune) is one of the households that suffered the most losses. The water of Thu Bon River suddenly rose, sweeping away the entire cage system and 35 tons of fish about to be harvested. The damage was nearly 2 billion VND, the entire capital he accumulated after nearly 10 years of aquaculture.
Faced with the risk of being left empty-handed, Mr. Lien was supported by the Duy Xuyen Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to complete the dossier, quickly disbursing 70 million VND in preferential capital to restore production.
Not only Mr. Lien, dozens of aquaculture and livestock farming households in Nam Phuoc and Duy Xuyen communes also suffered similar losses. The loan team and officers of the Social Policy Bank were continuously present at the facility, instructing people to declare and count the damage, to ensure that households severely affected could access the fastest support loan package.
