Da Nang connects businesses, supports people affected by heavy damage after floods

Da Nang - The Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards in the area have connected with businesses to support people in areas that suffered heavy damage after floods.

On November 29, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Hoi An ward coordinated with enterprises to organize the presentation of 1,000 gifts to poor students and households that suffered heavy damage due to floods in the wards of Hoi An, Hoi An Tay and Dien Ban.

From the mobilization of staff and employees, and the budget of the welfare fund, the company representative also presented gifts including: 10kg of rice/household, student backpacks and cash to help people soon stabilize their lives.

With the spirit of mutual love, the enterprise launched an internal donation campaign, calling on all staff to join hands to contribute nearly 1 billion VND.

Also on November 29, the Da Nang Red Cross Society coordinated with businesses to present 1,000 gifts (total value of 300 million VND) to people affected by floods in Nam Giang and Go Noi communes.

Each commune received 500 gifts (including 10kg of rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, salt and essential necessities) with a total value of 300 million VND. This is a fund contributed by enterprises mobilizing workers.

According to Lao Dong, in recent times, heavy rains have caused landslides and flooding in many areas in Nam Giang and Go Noi communes (Da Nang), causing damage to houses and damage, greatly affecting people's lives.
