The 14th National Women's Congress will take place on June 17-18 in Hanoi

Hanoi - In the afternoon of June 9, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union held a press conference to inform about the content of the 14th National Women's Congress.

The press conference took place under the chairmanship of Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union co-chaired.

Accordingly, the 14th National Women's Congress, term 2026 – 2031 will take place on June 17-18 in Hanoi.

The Congress has the theme "Vietnamese Women promote tradition, bravery, intelligence, responsibility; build a strong Union organization; promote gender equality, realize great national unity, join hands to build a democratic, rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy country".

The Congress will evaluate the results of the women's movement and the Association's activities in the past term, and at the same time propose directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the Association's work and the women's movement in the 2026 - 2031 term.

The Congress was attended by 793 official delegates who are typical women, representing all classes of women, ethnic groups, religions, fields of work and social components throughout the country; along with 200 guest delegates.

Some new points of the 14th National Congress of Women are that at the same time as the process of building the political report, the Congress Organizing Committee develops a draft action program to implement the Resolution defining targets and tasks for the year and the action program that will be discussed and approved at the 1st Conference of the 14th Executive Committee; Application of information technology in the preparation and organization of the 14th National Congress of Women; Organizing exhibitions at the Congress with the theme "Impressions and aspirations of the new era"...

It is known that the preparation for the 14th National Women's Congress was carried out seriously and methodically, ensuring progress and quality. The draft documents, personnel projects, draft amended and supplemented charters of the Association, and conditions for serving the Congress were carefully prepared, absorbing many heartfelt and responsible opinions from experts, association officials through various periods, and members and women across the country.

Propaganda, emulation, logistics and conditions to ensure the organization of the Congress were deployed synchronously, creating an atmosphere of excitement, solidarity, and orientation towards the Congress.

In which, the peak emulation period to achieve achievements to celebrate the 14th National Congress of Women was launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union, taking place from February 2026 and ending on May 15, 2026.

The peak emulation period has been flexibly and creatively implemented by all levels of the Union and has been enthusiastically responded to by all classes of union members and women, bringing practical efficiency and creating widespread spread in society. Many specific projects/works/activities of collectives and individuals have been implemented and completed to achieve achievements to celebrate the 14th National Women's Congress.

As a result, there were nearly 236 thousand projects, tasks, and activities in response to the peak emulation period to celebrate the 14th National Congress of Women's Deputies.
