162 scientists and members honored and commended today have affirmed the position of the nation's female intellectuals in scientific research, education, health, culture and foreign affairs, making important contributions to the country's development and improving the quality of life of the people, spreading the values of Vietnamese women in the international arena.
Among the women honored and commended today, many women not only have outstanding achievements in their profession, but also have won many prestigious awards and titles from the State, prestigious domestic and international scientific organizations. These successes have been effectively applied in practice, making no small contribution to social life and the development of the country.
From the typical female intellectuals in this honoring and commendation ceremony, we can see the continuous growth of the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association over the past 15 years.
Most members of the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association have been and are undertaking many key tasks in science and technology at universities, large research institutes, academies and management levels. The quality of members is increasingly affirmed.
Among nearly 6,000 members, there are 24 Professors, 224 Associate Professors, 727 Doctors, 20 People's Artists, 30 Meritorious Artists and about 2,000 Masters, 2 Labor Heroes of the renovation period.
Many members have received the State Prize for Science and Technology; Kovalevskaia Prize, Vietnamese Women's Award and high-level Science and Technology awards at the national and international levels. The Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association has truly become a separate professional organization, a common home of intelligence, creativity, social responsibility and aspiration to contribute.
Throughout 15 years of formation and development, the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association has gradually affirmed its role as an organization connecting, promoting and spreading the values of Vietnamese intellectuals with many rich, diverse and effective activities, not only domestically but also expanding its influence to the region and internationally" - Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai stated clearly.
This is the first time that 44 outstanding female intellectuals have been honored in the 15-year establishment and development process of the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association (2011-2026). 118 outstanding female intellectuals in the period 2021-2026 have been commended.
Typical individuals selected for honor and commendation all meet strict criteria on political qualities, professional ethics, professional capacity and social responsibility.
These are female intellectuals with many outstanding achievements in scientific research, technology application, training of high-quality human resources, business development, artistic creation, community activities and building the Association organization.
Among the 44 honored delegates, there are 14 Professors, 14 Associate Professors, 2 People's Teachers, 3 Meritorious Teachers, 2 People's Doctors, 1 Meritorious Doctor, 2 People's Artists, 1 Ambassador and 4 Labor Heroes of the renovation period.
Examples include Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President, Honorary President of the Vietnam Women Intellectuals Association, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education - one of the typical female leaders of Vietnam, who has made many outstanding contributions in the fields of state management, education, education promotion and the development of the female intellectual community.
