Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front (FFF), Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized the above at the meeting with press agencies on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 25-21, 2025), taking place on the afternoon of June 16.
The meeting was organized by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Attending were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central Trade Unions, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central Trade Unions: Tran Thang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ngo Van Cuong.
Mr. Lai Xuan Mon - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine... attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien sent to leaders of press management agencies, press agencies, reporters and editors the best wishes on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his sincere and deep gratitude for the contributions, strength, intelligence and enthusiasm of the journalists for the cause of great national unity; accompanying the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations during the activities.
"The works of these comrades have brought the breath of life and people to the leadership agencies of the Party and State, to the public, thereby encouraging and spreading the spirit of great solidarity and creativity in production labor, together with the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to complete the very heavy tasks in the past time" - Mr. Do Van Chien acknowledged.
Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, mass associations, and those working in this field do not directly make massive projects, large factories, etc., but under the leadership of the Party, the companionship with press agencies will build a solid position of people's hearts.
According to Mr. Do Van Chien, the great solidarity of the entire nation of the Party and the country is a very precious tradition, built by many generations of Vietnamese people, with sweat, effort, hardship, and sacrifice. The bones of the children of Vietnam have been interwoven with the motherland, becoming gold bricks to build the Vietnam Fatherland Bronze Citadel.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front, mass organizations and people have a heavy responsibility to be a solid bridge connecting the Party with the people, the people with the Party, and will certainly build the great national unity bloc and the Fatherland of Vietnam to last Mr. Do Van Chien affirmed.
Mr. Do Van Chien hopes that in the coming time, he will continue to strengthen coordination with the Front and press agencies in propaganda and mass mobilization work, promptly reflecting the people's thoughts and aspirations and creating social consensus.
Along with that, support the building of a healthy and standard press environment through promoting professional ethics and journalism standards; reward journalism works for great solidarity, for the community, for sustainable development.
Encourage the participation of the press in supervision, social criticism and areas related to the legitimate rights of the people such as health, education, environment, anti-corruption, administrative reform, and social security.
Promote multi-platform communication, improve the digital transformation capacity of local newspapers and presses of socio-political organizations, creating conditions for the voice of the front and the people to get closer to the public.
Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his joy when the National Assembly passed a draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, including amending 3 articles related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations (Articles 9, 10 and 84) with the approval rate being 100% of the delegates present. In addition, 100% of the National Assembly deputies present have also approved the 2-level local government model.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central organizations will have a new model of operation, I hope that journalists will continue to closely follow this model, spread the spirit of great solidarity, creative labor, and dedication of many businesses and people, contributing and building the country into a new era Mr. Do Van Chien expressed.
