
Previously, on July 17, 2025, Than Linh Commune Police received a report from the public about the case of Mr. Vuong Van Thu's family (born in 1956, residing in Than Linh Commune) - a parishioner of Xuan My Parish - being broken into by a thief and stealing 19.3 million VND.
Notably, the time of the incident coincided with the time parishioners were attending a ceremony at the church and the location of the theft was right next to the grounds of Xuan My Parish Church, the incident caused much outrage in the parishioners community, the status and position of the local government.
As soon as the information was received, Than Linh Commune Police immediately deployed forces, established working groups, and mobilized maximum officers and soldiers to urgently conduct investigations and prosecutors. The investigation process encountered many difficulties due to the theft occurring at night, the densely populated area and the lack of a surveillance camera system to serve the investigation.

With a determined spirit of attacking criminals to the end, along with the flexible application of professional measures, after only 5 hours, the Than Linh Commune Police force clarified that the perpetrator was V.D.T (born in 2011, residing in Than Linh Commune, Nghe An Province). All misappropriated assets were recovered and promptly returned to the victims.
Currently, the case is being handled by the Than Linh Commune Police in accordance with the provisions of law.
The quick and effective participation of the Than Linh Commune Police force has received recognition and appreciation from parishioners in the area.
Immediately after receiving the property, representatives of Xuan My parish and the victim's family sent a letter of thanks to the commune police force, expressing their trust and appreciation for the sense of responsibility and dedication to serving the people.
