On November 14, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung attended the National Great Unity Day in Na Coc hamlet, Thach An commune (Cao Bang), sharing joy with the people after a year of many changes due to natural disasters.
In 2025, Cao Bang will be heavily affected by storms No. 10 and 11, directly affecting life and production.
However, in the first 10 months of the year, the province's GRDP is estimated to increase by 7.45%; budget revenue reached nearly VND3,600 billion, exceeding the central budget estimate by 82%. Import-export turnover reached 1.37 billion USD, up more than 80% over the same period. Nearly 7,000 temporary and dilapidated houses have been repaired or rebuilt.
The new Thach An commune (merged from 3 communes of Tien Thanh, Van Trinh and Le Lai) recorded many positive changes: the area of planted crops increased by 2.5%; poor households decreased to 17.85%; 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses were treated with a total cost of more than 6.2 billion VND.
Na Coc hamlet has 117 households with 480 people, including four ethnic groups: Tay, Nung, Kinh, Dao. People donated more than 2,000 m2 of land, contributing working days to road construction and welfare works.
The poverty rate decreased to 7.6%; 96.5% of households achieved the title of Cultural Family; the hamlet was recognized as a "Cultural Hamlet 2025".
Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung highly appreciated the socio-economic development results of Thach An and the spirit of solidarity of Na Coc people. He said that this year's festival is even more meaningful as the whole country is looking forward to the 14th National Party Congress.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Cao Bang continue to exploit the economic advantages of border gates and tourism. shifting production structure, applying science in agriculture.

Na Coc hamlet is expected to become a model residential area, no more poor households, contributing to the sustainable development of Cao Bang.
On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister presented gifts to residential areas and 10 typical households in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". Provincial leaders presented gifts to 23 poor, near-poor households and policy families.
At the end of the program, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the family of Mr. Nong Quoc Toan - a household whose house was completely collapsed due to storm No. 11 and presented funding to support the construction of a new house. He suggested that the locality help the family complete the house before the Lunar New Year 2026 to soon stabilize their lives.
