On July 19, information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province said that the working group had just had a working session with the government of To Tung commune.
The working group included representatives of leaders of the departments: Home Affairs; Construction; Science and Technology; Agriculture and Environment.
According to the report, To Tung commune was established on the basis of merging administrative units of To Tung commune and Kong Long Khong commune. The commune has an area of over 14,160 hectares; the total population of the commune is 2,629 households with 10,612 people (of which, ethnic minorities account for 61.39%).
Currently, the commune still has 262 poor households and 683 near-poor households, with 17 ethnic groups living together. After 16 days of To Tung commune officially coming into operation, the political system has initially operated stably.
The Commune Public Administration Service Center operates smoothly, promptly meeting people's needs, has received 11 dossiers in the field of certification, civil status and resolved all dossiers on time, even before the deadline.

In addition to the achieved results, the commune still has some difficulties such as: office headquarters, facilities not guaranteed, not meeting enough working rooms for cadres and civil servants; old computers, low configuration; IGATE software system not operating stably...
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Minh Son - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee highly appreciated the initial results of To Tung commune after the merger. Despite many difficulties, the commune has made efforts to deploy and operate the apparatus stably.
Mr. Son acknowledged the recommendations of the locality and affirmed that he would promptly synthesize and report to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for solutions in the coming time.
He also requested the leaders of To Tung commune to continue to overcome difficulties, operate the apparatus effectively, serve people, organizations and businesses well, contributing to the commune's increasing development and improving people's lives.
The working group led by Mr. Tran Minh Son - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province also had a working session with Kong Bo La commune and Kbang commune on the implementation of political tasks and operation of the apparatus after the merger.
