On July 19, the Party Committee of Long Hai Commune (HCMC) said that it had worked with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune on the implementation of the model "Saturday listen to people speak" in the area.
The program "Saturday listen to people talk" has been implemented in Long Hai commune (formerly Long Hai town) since September 2022. The program has promoted its effectiveness, ensured the legitimate rights and interests of the people and received support and approval.
After a temporary suspension to stabilize the apparatus when implementing the two-level local government model, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune will continue to implement this model, in order to promptly grasp issues arising from the grassroots, ensure the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; contribute to creating close attachment between cadres and people, creating people's trust with local governments. Thereby contributing to improving the results of administrative reform work in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Hai commune - said that the program is expected to start from August 2025.
"This model will be held twice a month, on the first and third Saturdays of each month, alternating at the headquarters of hamlets in the area," said Mr. Viet.
In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Hai commune is also developing a plan to implement a new model including: "Solidarity, consensus, prosperity, happiness" and " charity bus journey" to continue caring for difficult circumstances in the area, contributing to ensuring social security in the locality.
