According to the meteorological agency, the tropical depression is forecast to maintain the intensity of level 6 gusting to level 8 in the next 24 to 48 hours.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 a.m. on December 7, the center of the tropical depression was at about 12 degrees north latitude; 124.3 degrees east longitude, in the central Philippines. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6 (39 - 49km/h), gusting to level 8. The tropical depression is moving westward at a speed of about 15km/h.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move west-southwest, at a speed of 15 - 20km/h. At 7:00 a.m. on December 8, the center was at about 11.5 degrees north latitude; 120.8 degrees east longitude, in the sea northeast of Palawan Island (Philippines). Intensity level 6, gust level 8.

It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move west-southwest, at a speed of about 20km/h. At 7:00 a.m. on December 9, the center was at about 10.9 degrees north latitude; 116.5 degrees east longitude, in the northeastern area of Truong Sa province, about 240km east-southeast of Song Tu Tay island. Intensity level 6, gust level 8.

The dangerous area in the next 48 hours is identified as an area from 10 to 12.5 degrees north latitude, east of 115.5 degrees east longitude. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 for the southeastern sea area of the central East Sea, including the northeastern sea area of Truong Sa.

From the next 48 to 72 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move west-southwest, traveling 20 - 25km per hour, gradually weakening.

At sea, from the morning of December 8, the sea area southeast of the central East Sea, including the sea area northeast of Truong Sa province, will have winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 8; waves 2 - 4m high, rough seas. Ship operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and large waves.
