Cao Bang - Phia Oac peak continues to be covered in ice during the days leading up to Tet.

On January 26 (December 27, the year of the Dragon), speaking with reporters, an employee of the VOV radio station on the top of Phia Oac (or Phja Oac, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province) said that at noon today, the weather was very cold, the temperature dropped sharply, causing ice to appear and stick to the trees.

At an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters above sea level, cold rain combined with strong winds caused ice to appear and stick to the trees around Phia Oac peak.

Phia Oac Peak is the second highest mountain peak in Cao Bang. Here, in the summer, the weather is cool. Meanwhile, in the winter, when the temperature drops, ice and snow often appear and is a popular tourist attraction.

Previously, on January 1, 2025, this mountain peak had frost once, the temperature at that time was minus 3-4 degrees Celsius. At noon today (January 26), the time the frost appeared, the temperature measured at this mountain peak was minus 5 degrees Celsius.

Ice falls with every gust of wind.
