Total rainfall from 1pm on October 20 to 1pm on October 21 was generally between 50-170mm. In Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh, rainfall reached 221.4mm, Hien Luong, Quang Tri reached 200.2mm. In Bach Ma National Park, Thua Thien Hue, rainfall reached 290.8mm, Thuan An, Thua Thien Hue) was 216.8mm and in Tam Tra, Quang Nam was 213.6mm.
Many localities such as Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam were flooded. Many streets were deeply flooded, causing traffic jams and damage to vehicles on October 21.
In the next 2 days (from the evening of October 21 to the evening of October 23), in Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Total rainfall in Quang Binh is generally 40-90mm, in some places over 130mm.
In Quang Tri, it is common 50-120mm, some places over 170mm. From Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai, it is common 80-200mm, some places over 250mm.
During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Beware of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas and urban areas in provinces and cities from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai. Level 1 warning of natural disaster risks due to heavy rain.
