Hanoi Chairman requests to handle a giant smoke column in the inner city

Hanoi - The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested relevant agencies to inspect and immediately handle the situation of textile factories emitting smoke and dust into residential areas.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch to the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Hoang Mai District People's Committee on checking and handling press information with the article: "Weaving factory carelessly emits smoke and dust into residential areas".

The article reflects the people of Mai Dong ward (Hoang Mai district) being upset because Hanoi Industrial Textile Joint Stock Company emits smoke and waste, causing environmental pollution; affecting daily activities.

Regarding this, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Hoang Mai District and related units to urgently inspect and clarify information reported by the press and strictly handle violations (if any); report to the City People's Committee before March 20, 2025.

Previously, the press reported that people in Mai Dong ward (Hoang Mai district) were upset because Hanoi Textile Industrial Joint Stock Company emitted smoke, causing environmental pollution, affecting health and daily activities.

The front of the company is on Linh Nam Street, and behind it is the company's collective housing area and Song Hoang Urban Area.
