From Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa on the day and night of October 8, there is forecast to be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall of 15 - 40mm, some places over 100mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain (rainfall greater than 100mm within 6 hours).

In Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, the Southern Central Highlands and the Southern region, on the day and night of October 8, there is forecast to be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15 - 30mm, locally over 70mm. Thunderstorms will be concentrated in the late afternoon and at night.

The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams; and landslides on steep slopes. The warning level for natural disaster risks due to tornadoes and lightning is level 1.

Regarding sea weather, the central and southern East Sea (including the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago), the southern Gulf of Tonkin, and the waters from Quang Tri to Binh Dinh will have showers and thunderstorms.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7 - 8.
