Rainfall from 7pm on August 27 to 8am on August 28 has measurements of over 90mm such as: Khe Na 1 (Nghe An) 114.4mm, Viet Trung (Quang Tri) 96.4mm, Dien Binh (Quang Ngai) 95.8mm
In the area from Thanh Hoa to Lam Dong and the South in the late afternoon and evening of August 28, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10 - 30mm, some places over 80mm.
The meteorological agency warns of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 80mm within 3 hours.
The midlands, the Northern Delta and from Thanh Hoa to Hue city from the night of August 29 to the end of August 31 are forecast to experience a widespread heavy rain with common rainfall of 100 - 300mm, locally over 500mm.
The meteorological agency warns of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 150mm within 3 hours.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.
Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, industrial parks; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes.
