Forecast for the next 24 to 48 hours
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that in the next 24 to 48 hours, due to the influence of cold air, some places in the North will have cold weather at night and in the morning.
Northern region and Thanh Hoa: no rain at night, early morning has scattered fog and light fog, sunny day; cold at night and early morning, cold in mountainous areas.
The area from Nghe An to Quang Tri will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain.
From Thua Thien Hue to Binh Thuan, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some heavy rain in the south. From October 6, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the north, with some heavy rain in some places.
The Central Highlands and the South have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain. The rain is concentrated in the afternoon and evening; in the northern Central Highlands, it is sunny during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night.
Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
Weather forecast from the night of October 6 to October 14
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has made comments on notable weather trends in some areas from the night of October 6 to October 14.
In the North and Thanh Hoa region from October 7 to 9, there will be scattered fog and light fog in the early morning, sunny weather; cold at night and in the morning, and chilly in the mountainous areas. From about October 10 to 11, there will be rain in some places in the North and Thanh Hoa region. From October 11 to 14, the weather will be mostly sunny during the day.
The area from Nghe An to Quang Ngai will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. From the night of October 6 to 8, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.
In the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions from October 7 to 14, scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast in the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
