Ben Tre - Ben Tre Waste Treatment Plant project is expected to be started construction in early September 2025.

Regarding the implementation of the construction of Ben Tre waste treatment plant (Huu Dinh commune, Chau Thanh district), exchanging with the Lao Dong Newspaper reporter on the afternoon of April 14, Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh - Vice Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee - said that it is expected that in early September, 2025 will start construction.

Currently, the authorities of Ben Tre province are relocating the amount of garbage at the factory of Ben Tre waste treatment plant to Phu Hung landfill, expected to be completed at the end of April 2025. Particularly for site clearance at the project of Ben Tre waste treatment plant, the province is directing the implementation of site clearance, at the beginning of May 5.2025 must be done. After the two issues are done, the locality will hand over the ground to the investor to start the project.

According to the Lao Dong newspaper reporter, in 2015, the Ben Tre Waste Treatment Plant project was licensed on an area of ​​nearly 5 hectares in Huu Dinh commune (Chau Thanh district). The project has a total investment of VND 200 billion and a capacity of 200 tons of waste/day.

In early 2016, this project started construction but investors repeatedly applied for construction extension and the project was still sluggish. After many times "ultimatum" but did not overcome, the People's Committee of Ben Tre province had suspended operation.

During the closing of the factory, garbage from Ben Tre City and Chau Thanh District, Ba Tri District was required to transport to An Hiep landfill (Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province).

On July 21, 2023, the People's Committee of Ben Tre Province issued Official Letter No. 4373/UBND-TCDT on the agreement on the implementation of the plan to restructure and invest in Ben Tre waste treatment factory, accordingly, Amacao Group Joint Stock Company received the transfer of all shares of Ben Tre Waste Treatment Joint Stock Company in accordance with the current law.

On September 14, 2023, the working group on the construction of Ben Tre Waste Treatment Plant of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 5637/KH-TCT on the implementation of the plan to restructure and invest in Ben Tre Garbage Power Plant. After that, the investor completed the procedures for changing the legal representative and increased its charter capital to VND 680 billion (originally VND 87 billion).
