Environmental pollution has become a burning issue in urban areas, especially large cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Since the beginning of 2025, Hanoi has been on the list of the most polluted cities in the world for many consecutive days (according to IQAir - an air quality monitoring application worldwide).
Not only affecting the living environment, environmental pollution directly affects public health.
According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution is the cause of millions of premature deaths each year, at the same time increasing respiratory and cardiovascular diseases and greatly affecting the nervous system. Without timely control and mitigation measures, air pollution will continue to be a major challenge for the country's sustainable development and public health.

In that situation, Lao Dong Newspaper organized a seminar on "Reducing air pollution: Things to do immediately" with the participation of 2 guests: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Duc - Department of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Le - Head of the Department of Environmental Management, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
At the seminar, experts will mention the sources of environmental pollution originating from human discharge activities in daily life, daily life and production. In addition, some natural activities also contribute to environmental pollution. At the same time, propose long-term solutions to reduce environmental pollution and ensure people's health. Measures to reduce pollution include scientific application, proposing policies to management agencies to reduce emissions from industrial, agricultural, transportation, etc. sectors.
The seminar is scheduled to take place at 4:00 p.m. on April 4, 2025 at the studio of Lao Dong Newspaper - No. 6 Pham Van Bach, Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi.
