According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province, from November 23 to the afternoon of November 30, the whole province of Khanh Hoa collected about 37,000 tons of waste - 3 times higher than normal days.
To date, 59/64 communes and wards have basically completed the collection of waste after flooding.
However, the remaining 5 localities including: Tay Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang, Bac Nha Trang, Dien Khanh and Dien Dien communes still have a large amount of leftover garbage, mainly damaged household items such as cabinets, tables and chairs, mattresses... that people take to the streets every day to clean up after the flood.

The historic flood in mid-November caused many areas in Nha Trang and Dien Khanh to be deeply flooded, washed away and left a large amount of waste on roads and residential areas.
Immediately after the water receded, Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company deployed a total effort to collect, transport and treat waste.
According to the Company's leaders, about 500 workers were mobilized to work through the night and work in continuous shifts.
The amount of waste collected each day is 1,600 - 1,800 tons, 2-3 times higher than during peak Tet holidays. Despite maximum efforts, the amount of waste is still large.

To meet the urgent collection needs, the Company has mobilized maximum means: 27 garbage compactors, 8 small transport vehicles, 500 hand-held carts, 6 excavators, 3 overturned excavators, 20 dump trucks.
Many units support specialized vehicles including: Ho Chi Minh City Urban Environment Company (6 compacted cars), Nam Thanh Ninh Thuan Company (3 compacted cars), Cam Ranh Urban Joint Stock Company (1 compacted car), Kon Tum Urban Environment Joint Stock Company (2 compacted cars).
A representative of Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company said that the unit's capacity is limited, especially specialized vehicles.
The unit called on people and households with vehicles such as three-wheeled vehicles, small trucks, etc. to proactively transport classified waste to the prescribed transit points.
At these locations, the company will send large vehicles to scoop up and take them for treatment, helping to quickly clear the residential area.
At the meeting on December 1, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen requested Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to coordinate with the People's Committees of Tay Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang and Bac Nha Trang wards to arrange appropriate means to effectively collect in small alleys where there is a large amount of bulky waste.
The province requires that by December 5, 2025, the amount of waste generated after flooding in these 3 localities must be completely handled.
In Dien Dien and Dien Khanh communes alone, the Department of Construction was assigned to review and mobilize contractors to increase vehicles under construction in the area to participate in supporting garbage collection.
