This afternoon and evening (October 23), cold air will continue to affect other places in the North Central region, some places in the Northwest and the Central Central region. The North will have the lowest temperature of about 20 - 22 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas it will be below 19 degrees Celsius. Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have the lowest temperature of about 22 - 24 degrees Celsius; the average temperature will be 23 - 25 degrees Celsius.

The area from South Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue has showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure.

Localized heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
