On April 23, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Tri province confirmed that this unit had requested the People's Committee of Gio Linh district to check and handle the information on illegal land exploitation reported by Lao Dong Newspaper.
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 241 of the Land Law 2024; Clause 2, Article 18 of the 2010 Law on Mineral Law, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requests the People's Committee of Gio Linh district according to the competence to direct the specialized departments and the People's Committee of Linh Truong commune to organize the inspection according to the content reflecting the exploitation of land without permission from the competent authority in Ben Tung village and Truong Hai, Linh Truong commune (Gio Linh district). If the information is accurate, it is necessary to strictly handle violations in accordance with the law.
Facing the requirements of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Mr. Vo Dac Hoa - Chairman of Gio Linh District People's Committee said that the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department and the People's Committee of Linh Truong commune conducted reflection information. At the same time, advising the District People's Committee to strictly handle violations in accordance with the law.
Gio Linh District People's Committee also requested Linh Truong Commune People's Committee to coordinate with specialized agencies during the inspection process; at the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilization of people not to participate in illegal land exploitation activities; promptly detect and report to competent authorities when there are signs of violations.
It is known that the Police Department investigates economic, corruption, smuggling and environmental police have identified 4 subjects related to the above -mentioned illegal land exploitation. Currently, this unit is coordinating the specialized agency to conduct measurement and calculation of the amount of land has been exploited. At the same time, clarifying the violations of the subjects of land exploitation, the responsibility of the person in the name of the land use right for handling according to regulations.
