On August 8, the Ministry of Public Security sent a letter of commendation and praise for the heroic actions of two police officers from Tân Tiến Commune, Bảo Yên District.
Earlier, at 1:00 PM on August 6, at km67+100 of provincial road 153 passing through Bản Hón hamlet, Nghĩa Đô Commune, Bảo Yên District, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Trung (born 1991, residing in Nà Phát hamlet, Phúc Khánh Commune, Bảo Yên District) who was working as a shipper while delivering goods from Nghĩa Đô Commune to Tân Tiến Commune was buried under a landslide from the side of a hill.
Upon receiving the news, Lieutenant Mông Văn Anh and Lieutenant Bàn Văn Lư (police officers from Tân Tiến Commune) immediately arrived at the scene, rescued the victim from the hazardous area, and transferred him to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Before the heroic actions of the two police officers from Tân Tiến Commune, Mr. Trung's family visited the office to express their gratitude to the local police and government authorities.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the actions above demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, not hesitating to face difficulties to perform their duties when the people are in need, and clearly show the spirit of "when the people need it, when the people are in difficulty, there is the People's Public Security Force".
