At 11:00 a.m. on February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), the family of Mr. Pham Quoc Cuong (born in 1985, in Chau Thanh district, Kien Giang province) and his wife and children (born in 1985, in Chau Thanh district, Kien Giang province) tiredly went to the Quang Xuong Traffic Police Station located in Tan Phong town, Quang Xuong district (Thanh Hoa) to ask for help from officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Department.
Through inquiring about the situation, it was learned that before the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, Mr. Cuong's family learned that in Hanoi there was someone who needed to hire someone to look after and raise pigs during Tet for 1 million VND/day, and if they did well, they would hire someone for 15 million VND/month. After contacting and agreeing to take care of them, Mr. Cuong's family of 5 took a bus to Hanoi, but when they arrived, they could not contact the person who hired them.
Because it was close to Tet, they could not find another job and had no money, so Cuong's family had a hard time hitchhiking from Hanoi to Kien Giang. During Tet, transportation was difficult, so from January 22, 2025 (the 25th day of Tet) until about 11:00 a.m. on February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), Cuong's family returned to Thanh Hoa.
Upon learning of the family's situation, Quang Xuong Traffic Police Station called on officers and soldiers to raise nearly 8 million VND to support Mr. Cuong's family with travel expenses, and also sent a bus for his family to return home safely.
* At around 10:30 a.m. on January 31 (the third day of the Lunar New Year), while patrolling to ensure traffic order and safety, the patrol team led by Lieutenant Colonel Duong Cong Huy - Deputy Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department - when arriving at National Highway 47 through Quang Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa City, encountered a wandering man, so they stopped to ask and learned that this man was lost.
Through on-site inquiries and information collected, the Working Group determined that Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chinh (born in 1946 in Dong Ve Ward, Thanh Hoa City) suffered from dementia. Afterwards, the Working Group directly brought him home safely.
The act of helping people in difficult circumstances during Tet holidays by officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police received appreciation and gratitude from the victims' families, thereby contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the People's Police soldiers who forget themselves for the country and serve the people.
