11-year-old boy lost more than 40km from An Giang to Kien Giang

On September 22, Rach Gia City Police (Kien Giang) said they had assisted in verifying the whereabouts of a boy who had gotten lost from An Giang to Kien Giang to safely meet his family.

On the evening of September 21, the Vinh Thong Ward Police (Rach Gia City) discovered a lost child, so they coordinated with Rach Gia City Police to verify the information and contact the child's family to bring him home.

Vinh Thong Ward Police said that when they discovered the child riding a bicycle, wearing a primary school uniform, carrying a backpack on his shoulder, in a state of panic, fatigue, and hunger. The police approached and asked questions, took the child to the headquarters to take care of him, as well as encourage and comfort him mentally to help him calm down, and at the same time asked for information to help the child return to his family.

The child said he could not remember the phone numbers of his family members or his current residence.

Initially checking the information recorded in the child's book, the ward police identified the child's name as T.T.V, so they exchanged information and coordinated with the police of Nui Sap town, Thoai Son district, An Giang province to verify the child's identity.

Through coordination to check information, it was known that V (11 years old, residing in Nui Sap town, Thoai Son district) is currently in 6th grade. The police contacted the child's father to come to Vinh Thong ward police station to pick him up and take him home.

Seeing his son again, V's father was very happy and thanked the police officers and soldiers for their dedication in helping and taking care of V and helping to find information to help him reunite with his family.
