Injured pangolin found, handed over to forest rangers

    HUE - People in Hue discovered rare wild animals and handed them over to forest rangers to release them back into the natural environment.

    On February 7, Phu Loc Forest Protection Department (Hue City) announced that it had just handed over a 4kg Java pangolin to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms (Cuc Phuong National Park) for rescue and release into the wild.

    Previously, while passing through the Tuan bridge area (Long Ho ward, Phu Xuan district, Hue city), Mr. Nguyen Van Quy (residing in Phu Loc district) discovered an injured Java pangolin on the side of the road. Realizing that this was a rare wild animal, he seized it and contacted the authorities to hand it over.

    This is the second animal in 2025 that has been handed over by people. From 2022 to 2024, 232 wild animals were handed over, including 212 endangered, precious, and rare species and 20 common species. All were released back into the wild after completing the procedures.

    On the occasion of Workers' Month 2026, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized a ceremony to attach plaques and award support for 2 Trade Union Warm Houses (MÂCĐ) to union member Si Tuan An - Ngu Lac Electricity and union member Cao Thai Nhat - Tra Cu Electricity belonging to Vinh Long Electricity Company Trade Union.     After the administrative boundary merger, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation quickly created many imprints in the work of caring for and protecting workers (NLĐ). Towards the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation - affirmed: "All efforts to streamline the organization ultimately aim to serve union members better, bringing more practical benefits to workers".
