Attending the commendation ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Nhu - Chairman of Tra Vinh City People's Committee and Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Van Khoi - Head of Tra Vinh City Police.
At the commendation ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhu - Chairman of Tra Vinh People's Committee - highly appreciated and acknowledged the bravery of two young men Nguyen Duy Khang (Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh province) and Bui Le Quoc Tai (Tra Vinh city) both working at a motorbike shop in Ward 5, Tra Vinh city who saved a woman in the incident where a young man used gasoline to burn his biological mother on the afternoon of February 24.
The Chairman of Tra Vinh City People's Committee said that this is a beautiful image that needs to be promoted in the community and especially in the youth force.

Speaking at the certificate awarding ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khang said that when the incident happened, he only thought about one thing: saving people.
When he heard the shouts and saw the dangerous situation, he had no time to think, only acting in a reflex. Facing a young man who committed such a violent act was really stressful.
"We could not have imagined that this young man would do such a thing. When the young man was restrained and handed over to the police for handling, the people took the young man's mother to the emergency room. I just hope she will survive and recover soon," Mr. Khang added.
Thanks to the timely intervention of Mr. Khang, Mr. Tai and the people, the subject's mother was rescued.
Through the above brave action, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh City commended and awarded two young men a certificate of special merit according to the Law on Emulation and Commendation.
