Da Phuc Bridge is a project within the Project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on National Highways (phase 1) with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND invested by the Ministry of Transport. Construction started in August 2022.The project spans the Cong River, and is also a vital bridge on Highway 3 connecting Pho Yen City (Thai Nguyen) and Soc Son District (Hanoi). The goal is to reduce the pressure and traffic volume on the old bridge.On December 17, according to the reporter, after more than 2 years of implementation, the bridge connecting Thai Nguyen - Hanoi has been basically completed. Currently, workers are urgently implementing some final items of the project.The bridge deck and approach road on the Pho Yen City side (Thai Nguyen) have been completed.The railing project of the river bridge has been completed.Workers clean the bridge surface area.At the Hanoi end of the bridge, the construction unit is laying asphalt.Human resources were mobilized to construct the approach road to the bridge on the Hanoi side, this is the final item of the project.Mr. Ha Trong Dong, a driver on the Thai Nguyen - Hanoi route, shared: "Currently, traffic on the old bridge is difficult because the bridge surface is narrow, while the number of vehicles is increasing, causing frequent traffic congestion. Hopefully, traffic conditions will improve in the future when the new bridge is built."Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dam - Chairman of Thuan Thanh Ward People's Committee (Pho Yen City) said that currently, the items at the Thai Nguyen - Hanoi bridge have been basically completed."The bridge and the road section in Thai Nguyen have been completed after more than 2 years of implementation. The project, once completed and put into use, will help expand the trading space and develop the local economy," the leader added.
The project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways (phase 1) has a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND. Of which, the preferential loan from the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Korean Government is more than 1,145 billion VND, the rest is counterpart capital from the Vietnamese Government.
Phase 1 of the project will be renovated by building 6 new bridges, including: Ben Moi Bridge (QL38B, Nam Dinh), Doan Hung Bridge (QL2, Phu Tho), Xom Bong Bridge (QL1C, Nha Trang), Da Phuc Bridge (QL3, located between Hanoi and Thai Nguyen), Song Truong and Nuoc Oa Bridges (QL40B, Quang Nam).
