    The Vietnamese rescue and relief team has arrived in Venezuela and started surveying the scene.

    At exactly 12:15 pm (local time) on June 29, the plane carrying officers and soldiers of the Vietnamese Rescue and Relief Team landed at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía City (Venezuela), officially entering the deployment of international rescue and relief work in the friendly country.

    Welcoming the delegation at the airport were Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto and Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vũ Trung Mỹ.
    Trong thời gian tại Venezuela, Đoàn công tác sẽ phối hợp với lực lượng cứu hộ nước sở tại và các Đoàn cứu hộ quốc tế tham gia tìm kiếm người mất tích, khám chữa bệnh, hỗ trợ khắc phục hậu quả động đất và thực hiện các nhiệm vụ khác theo yêu cầu của phía Venezuela, phù hợp với chuyên môn và khả năng của đoàn.
    During their time in Venezuela, the working delegation will coordinate with local rescue forces and international rescue teams to participate in searching for missing people, medical examination and treatment, supporting the recovery from earthquake consequences and performing other tasks as required by the Venezuelan side, in accordance with the delegation's expertise and capabilities.

    After completing all procedures, with the support of the Venezuelan side, the Vietnamese rescue and relief delegation mobilized to survey the scene in La Guaira state, calculating and preparing plans to mobilize forces and equipment to carry out search and rescue work on the next day.

    Key members of the Vietnamese Rescue and Relief Team and representatives from Venezuela were present at the scene. This area is about 1 hour's drive from the Team's base.

    La Guaira State is one of the localities most severely damaged in the double earthquake disaster in Venezuela.

    Through observation at the scene, we see that the consequences caused by the earthquake are very serious, on a very large area. Many buildings completely collapsed or partially collapsed, many components are still suspended and precarious, very dangerous. We have researched and proposed rescue tactics with the motto of rapidity and urgency, but must ensure absolute safety for officers and soldiers in the process of performing their duties," a member of the Rescue and Relief Team shared.
