Revealing the snake mascot at Nguyen Hue flower street for Tet At Ty 2025

According to information from Saigon Tourist Group, Nguyen Hue Flower Street will open from 7pm on January 27 (28th of Lunar New Year) to 9pm on February 2 (5th of Lunar New Year).

This is the 22nd year the flower street has been held during Tet in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, considered a cultural symbol of Tet in Ho Chi Minh City.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Lunar New Year 2025 has the theme of "Brocade and flower country, happy spring in peace", divided into 3 segments "unity", "transformation" and "development" - representing the historical stages of the Vietnamese people.

The Kim Ty and Ngan Ty couple at the gate of Nguyen Hue flower street 2025 is an impressive return in appearance, size and craftsmanship compared to the Quy Ty couple 2013. Ngan Ty (female) is 25 m long and Kim Ty (male) is 42 m long, with the whole body winding 3 times intertwined, forming a base more than 11 m wide, with a height from the body adjacent to the flower base to the top of the head of over 6 m.

70% of the materials used to make Kim Ty and Ngan Ty are environmentally friendly. The total number of scales on Ngan Ty's body is about 2,700 pieces and Kim Ty's is nearly 3,600 pieces, which are hand-attached with LED lights running along both sides of the belly.

This year's Tet flower street uses a large amount of flower beds, an estimated 109,000 flower baskets of all kinds. Construction time is from 7am on January 9 to 12pm on January 27.

Lady Ty is modeled after the shape of a king cobra with its head raised, its whole body covered in green, more than 50 meters long and more than 10 meters high.

To create the earth-like texture of the large scene inspired by the stalactite cave, thousands of loosely woven bamboo and rattan panels were used as the ceiling and columns of the cave, which are up to 8m high and spread over an area of nearly 1,000m2.

This large-scale scene creates an abstract perspective with its shape resembling both a honeycomb and a cave. The large-scale scene helps visitors feel more clearly the art of crafting and shaping outside and inside the scene.

This year's flower street has about 90 Ty mascots depicted in a variety of colors and shapes, mostly concentrated behind the flower street's welcome gate.
