The Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Province Police and other professional units tried to approach and examine the scene.Approaching the scene of the broken lake is difficult due to the heavy landslides and the risk of falling rocks. A working group of the Provincial Police took more than 2 hours to climb the mountain to get to the scene. Another team conducted an autopsy on the body of L.N.B.T (born in 2012) at the victim's family.The location of the incident belongs to Viet Phong Phu Farm located on a mountain in Phong Phu village 2, Tuy Phong commune, Lam Dong province. Water and mud along the cliff poured down nearly 5km.The water rolls the dam across, creating a strong flow down to where many houses live. From afar, you can see the ditch ripping off the hillside.mud and dirt flooded into residential areas, burying many houses and motorbikes and sweeping away 4 people. The commune's rescue forces responded in time and saved 3 people, including a girl who died.Many fruit gardens, houses, and crops of the people were buried by the flow with mud, creating a scene of devastation.Some sections of canals, rural roads and small irrigation works were damaged. According to preliminary statistics, 200 households were affected.People scraped the mud and pulled up many buried motorbikes.People's houses were buried in mud.

On the afternoon of November 2, Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation directly went to Tuy Phong commune to direct the handling of the consequences and clarify the cause of the broken water reservoir of the farm.
Mr. Nguyen Ha Loc - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that the reservoir where the incident occurred was located in the VAC project of Viet Phong Phu farm.
"After reviewing the project that was granted an investment certificate since 2017, the granted license does not include a lake item. The previously issued license (before change) in June 2015 also does not have a lake item. Other items, including pond houses, are included in the permit but do not show the content of the permit to build the reservoir. This is proof that this lake has not been licensed" - Mr. Loc added.
Mr. Nguyen Ha Loc - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment added that in the immediate future, the remaining lakes must immediately reduce the amount of water stored to avoid similar incidents, and the department will conduct a general inspection of all reservoirs in the area to assess the safety level.Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee directed that if the lake is not licensed, it must be handled immediately. In addition, the Provincial Police also investigated the case of a girl who died due to being swept away by water. Relevant departments and branches will promptly support Tuy Phong commune to fix the problem.Currently, local forces are supporting households to clean up their houses and overcome the consequences to stabilize their lives.
