    Hai Phong - The investment project to build Lai Xuan bridge and renovate and expand provincial road 352 in Hai Phong city is expected to be completed in May 2025.

    The investment project to build Lai Xuan bridge and renovate and expand provincial road 352 connecting Thuy Nguyen city of Hai Phong city and Dong Trieu city of Quang Ninh province across Da Bach river was started on February 2, 2023. The total investment of the project is nearly 1,335 billion VND from the Hai Phong City budget; Quang Ninh province pays for site clearance costs in this province.

    The scale of the project includes the construction of Lai Xuan bridge across Da Bach river with a bridge length of about 840m and a bridge width of 12m. Steel reinforced concrete structure and prestressed reinforced concrete; renovate and expand provincial road 352 with a length of more than 14 km, roadbed cross-section of 12 m wide.

    According to the report of the Hai Phong Traffic and Rural Construction Investment Project Management Board, by the end of February 2025, contractors will basically complete the bridge part.

    The access road still has a section on the gas pipeline that has not been constructed. The estimated volume of implementation is about 441/518.8 billion VND (85% of the contract). After the People's Committee of Thuy Nguyen City completes the relocation of the gas pipeline from K130 warehouse to K131 warehouse and hands over the remaining site (expected in March 2025) for the construction of the approach road to the bridge, the contractor will strive to complete the project in May 2025.

    Regarding the project of renovating and expanding provincial road 352, currently, contractors have basically completed the asphalt concrete paving work, and are completing sidewalks and lighting. The value of the completed volume is about 321/351.4 billion VND (91% of the contract).

    Also according to the report of the Management Board, up to now, about 200m long at the beginning of the connecting route to National Highway 10, 10 units are carrying out procedures to request permission from the Vietnam Road Administration for the connecting point and a section of the route on the gas pipeline that has not been constructed. After the problems are resolved, the contractor will strive to complete the project in May 2025.

    When completed and put into use, the project will improve traffic service capacity, create an inter-regional traffic connection system, meet the transportation needs between industrial parks and industrial clusters, serve the travel needs of people in Thuy Nguyen City, Dong Trieu City in particular and the two localities of Hai Phong and Quang Ninh in general. At the same time, gradually complete the traffic network of Hai Phong City, Quang Ninh Province and the Northern key economic region, contributing to the socio-economic and cultural development of localities in the project area.
