    Vi Khe bonsai village (Dien Xa commune, now Nam Dien commune, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province) is about 8km from Nam Dinh city, a traditional bonsai craft village that has existed for more than 800 years.

    This place is famous for its bonsai trees... which are meticulously pruned and cared for into artistic and beautiful shapes. Among them, the most prominent tree is the Nam Dien Sanh tree.

    "In my village now, most households grow flowers and ornamental plants. To create a tree with the desired shape, it takes us many years to create a tree with the desired shape. Right from the moment I had the tree embryo, I had an idea in my head and gradually shaped the tree," said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van (50 years old), who has been involved in the tree making profession since childhood.

    In addition to the banyan tree, Vi Khe also has a variety of ornamental trees such as: banyan, fig, Indian laurel, bougainvillea, cycad, La Han pine... with many rich tree shapes such as: long thang, long giang, hac lap, the huyen, truc sieu, song thu, huynh de, mother and child mutual support... Today, Vi Khe is also a place that provides people across the country with many beautiful trees and flowers, every time Tet comes and spring comes.
