    Theo Trung tâm Bảo tồn Thiên nhiên và Phát triển (CCD), các hoạt động nghiên cứu mới đây ghi nhận được sự có mặt của ít nhất 232 loài chim, trong đó có 192 loài di cư bao gồm cả loài cực kỳ nguy cấp như Sẻ đồng ngực vàng tại các bãi bồi, bãi giữa sông Hồng (Hà Nội).

    Việc khai thác khu vực bãi nổi giữa, bãi bồi sông Hồng thành những khu thể dục, thể thao, vui chơi giải trí sẽ phần nào giúp khu vực này trở nên hấp dẫn. Dù ý kiến ủng hộ và băn khoăn còn song song, nhưng quả thật, nếu quy hoạch tốt khu vực này, thành phố có thể đánh thức "mỏ vàng" nơi sông Hồng.
