On the construction site of a hundred billion dong road in a mountainous district of Thai Nguyen

The project connecting National Highway 37 and Provincial Road (DT) 269B has a total investment of 222 billion VND, invested by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, and will be implemented in December 2023.

The project is designed according to the standards of a grade III mountain road. The total length of the route is 6.1 km through the communes of Xuan Phuong, Tan Kim, Tan Thanh (Phu Binh), the starting point connects the main road through Xuan Phuong commune, the end point intersects with DT.269B at Km5+450.

According to the reporter's records in early January 2025, after more than 1 year of implementation, the project has been basically completed. Workers and machines are urgently implementing some items, speeding up the progress.

The collection and drainage project on both sides of the road is gradually being completed.

Workers are building and installing an overpass at the project's starting point at the intersection with National Highway 37.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, a worker at the project, said: "We are currently constructing the bridge body and approach road. The road surface of the entire route is now basically finished, and people can travel. The weather is dry in the last months of the year, so construction is easy and convenient."

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dang - Chairman of Tan Kim Commune People's Committee said that currently the section of the route passing through the commune has been paved with asphalt.

"Currently, the project progress has reached about 90%, the more than 4 km road section through Tan Kim commune is basically completed. Some other sections are being urgently implemented, expected to be completed by February 2025. This route put into use will help improve the regional traffic infrastructure, shorten travel time and distance, and promote trade," Mr. Dang added.
